I N V A S I O N
Invasion is a reflection on the fragility of balance in the environment and our relationship to the places we inhabit. Inspired by a single found object commonly known as "Devil's head" seed pod, the project has grown to include a collection of non native plant species that are considered problematic. It is fascinating to think about what defines invasive species, and how much the human race should try to protect wild areas when we have caused the presence of these unwanted species. The works are imaginary environments inspired by these beautiful seeds, leaves and flowers and feature handmade paper and printmaking.
