B E E S   A N D   W I N G E D  T H I N G S

I like depicting bugs in my work. They have a perfect amount of icky and alien about them, and I love the challenge of revealing beauty in something that is usually repellent. I once was a young girl who would jump at the sight or sound of a nearby bee. Remembered fear is what inspired me to draw and observe them, and create my own interpretations of them . My fear has evolved into fascination at the amazing things these small creatures do.​
